The Mayfly Team
Mayfly Analytics Team
- Prof. Paul Krause - Emeritus Professor of complex systems at Surrey University. After his PhD in electromagnetism and a stint working for the national Physical Laboratory, Paul became progressively more interested in machine learning and artificial intelligence. He has since become a key figure within the Computer Science department at Surrey and provides Mayfly Analytics with invaluable skill and experience.
- Dr Jake Mitchell - Jake obtained his PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Durham University and is working on his second postdoctoral position. He specialised in the study of active galaxies powered by supermassive blackholes and has a particular interest in the statistical analysis of stochastic lightcurves generated by astrophysical sources and now works on the analysis of solar flare data from the ESA Solar Orbiter mission. Jake also completed his undergraduate MPhys degree in Physics at Durham.
- Sam White - studied Mathematics and Physics at Durham university, before working within asset management. Sam then completed his MSc in Data Science at Surrey University and his research was based on novel Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) cell formulation.
- Anthony White - Software engineer and systems architect, with experience of big data management and processing. Anthony has helped de-sign the cloud computing based infrastructure over which the models have been trained and the results analysed, along with the micro-service architecture that underpins our live signal generation vehicle.
- Steve Simons - Chartered Accountant with 25 years experience in SME Corporate Finance and Private Equity. Steve has a successful track record in helping early stage companies to achieve scale and profitability, both as Finance Director and Non-Exec, across a broad range of sectors.
